Eighth Graders Participate In Teach NYS Lobbying Trip In Albany

11-Mar-2019

This week ten eighth graders visited Albany, the capital of New York. They were there advocating for more STEM funding for Yeshivas, more security for non-public schools, and lower tuition costs. Additionally, they met with many New York State Senators and Assemblymen, such as Daniel Rosenthal, Joe Addabboo, and a representative for John Liu. They also listened in on assembly meetings and were even given a shout out by the Speaker of the Assembly. All in all, these students advocated extremely nicely for their ideas and there is a strong possibility that these ideas will be made into laws, soon in the future.
